I had taken guitar and drum lessons as a kid, but high school guitar class is where I really got serious about music.

Once I started jamming with my buddies and working on original songs, that was it!

It started with rock and funk music, then getting into the blues that was at the root of everything. Not long after, I started discovering jazz and metal, and taking influence from these in my writing.

Later on while studying at Western, I got really into Classical music, playing piano, and taking private lessons. I started studying theory and music composition, while also diving further into Jazz & Improvisation.

Now my main focuses are on composing classical music & playing jazz piano, in addition to growing as a teacher & performer.
